Few weeks ago, before I fly to Taiwan, Hong Peng invited me to Singapore Turf Club and it was a really good experience. This is my first time there and my first time watching a live horse race! Thank you for extending more invites to me so that I could actually invite Zerika and Alexia to join us! :)
Isn't the two "British Guards" cute hahahaha! They look funny I swear.
A group photo to start the day at Singapore Turf Club.
Polaroid taking session. I noticed a lot of events are using Polaroid and prints as part of their photo booth activities. Is it like a trend or something?
We sat in the Derby Room where we watched horse races and eat at our comfort.
There is a TV/Screen for you to look at as well without squeezing your eyes if the horses are too far off.
Me and Zerika bet $5 each on this horse named "Speedy Cat". We bet $5 placing where by if the horse comes in 1st, 2nd or 3rd we still win money $$$. :D There's two option to the betting, Win / Pla (Placing) , "Win" where by the horse you bet on must win the race, which means it must come in 1st in order for you to win money, but of cause the winning is so much higher. $.$
We learnt a lot about how to look at the different elements and aspects before deciding on the horses to bet on and it's really interesting.
The jockeys all have to weigh themselves before and after the race. Weighing of jockeys with their saddles after the running of a race so as to ensure they have complied with their allocated weight in a race.
Normally the highest winning horse will get the heavier jockey!
On a random note, I find this horse very pretty. LOL. It looks like some royal horse! Ohhhh major love for royal looking horse. <3
There are like freaking rich people there as well, including Datuk. See the amount they bet and their winnings...Maybe in future I can do that as well.
Really an eye opening experience.
We also get to go to the parade square where the horse will parade around, and to the grand stand where we watched in the heat. hahahaha! But I really enjoyed it at the grand stand, the atmosphere is better actually.
At the parade square...
It's not only about horse racing, we also did Henna art at the Datuk seats. LOL.
Hmmm..my first time doing Henna art on my hand too.
We went to tour their facilities such as their corporate boxes where it is up for hire for corporate and social events.
Let's take a selfie~
