The SPA-Lon ATP38 and Acne { Visit Dairy } Part 2

From the previous post about my visit to SPA-Lon :

Here's what happen to me, I had to fill you people up with what I had just went through, I felt so proud of myself for surviving it alone as usual.

Me and my immune system had just successfully won a war with probably a bunch of naughty foreign invaders that decided to choose me for a vacation for about 5 days. I was literally down with a roller-coaster fever, block & running nose and sore throat for almost a week. This left me bed ridden half the time and another half of my time I actually went to work. A little crazy but I need to feed myself, no one is going to feed me. While I still can manage, I just had to tell myself that I can do this!

This morning when I woke up, I felt so different and I know the fever's gone! I actually had constipation for the past 4-5 days and guess what?! I SHITTED FINALLY!

I was super relieved that my body feels better finally, that means I can make my way to SPA-Lon this afternoon for my 4th appointment with Pauline.

If you read about my previous post, you will know how much of a trouble and emotion I had actually went through too. The good news here is, my facial skin looks better now!

I shall rewind a little to the 18th of June, when I went to SPA-Lon at Choa Chu Kang for my 3rd visit.
I requested no extractions for the 3rd visit just so I can see if there is any difference. So Pauline didn't do the 3rd extractions, she did 2 of the ATP-38 treatment,  Micropeeling and Photo Rejuvenating for me.

This is the after-face from the 3rd visit to SPA-Lon with NO extraction.

My skin actually looks a lot better after it healed from the extraction from the 2nd visit.
Nothing much of a difference since there isn't any extraction done to the face, accept that my face looks brighter and smoother than before I do the Micropeeling and Photo Rejuvenating treatments.

Now back to my 4th visit which is today, 25th June after being terribly ill.
Let's take a look at the "before I go to SPA-Lon today" picture.

The lightings is exceptionally good today in my elder sister's room. LOL.

As usual, Pauline took a look at my face first and at the same time I was actually educating her about my battle story with the foreign invader. HAHAHA!

Pauline was surprised that my face didn't breakout when I am sick. I agree that I was super worried that my face will breakout due to fever and being sick. But surprisingly nothing of such happen. :)

I was told that I had a lot of ready-to-extract oil seeds and small little blackheads here and there. I knew my face still feels a little rough due to all this dried up oil seeds. I took out the courage and was ready to let Pauline do the extractions once again for this visit.

I have seen improvements in my skin after every extractions, treatments and after giving it time to heal itself. That is where I get those confidence to continue doing the extractions procedure which I used to believe it didn't help but make my face look like shit. I believe not all the time extraction is bad, it really depends who is your beautician.

The only bad part is, PAIN. Oh well. It's like that.

After ATP-38 treatments (Mircopeeling & Photo Rejuvenating) and extractions. This time with a different mask on my face. I was told this time the mask helps to lighten scars and calm the skin. The previous visits, the mask helps to cool the face and for anti-inflammation purpose.

These are a combination of all the pictures of my face from the 1st visit to the 4th visit at SPA-Lon.

I am really glad my skin is showing improvements and I am really looking forward to a much better skin in time to come.

I also realise the product SPA-Lon gave me to use are great too. I have been using them these few weeks and everything works well on my face.  Since I didn't put pictures of them up in my previous post, here are the products that I have been using recently from SPA-Lon.

Basically just in time after I finished my Biolee facial cleansing series!

Now I became more paranoid about the cleanliness of my face, I literally cleanse them with Phytomer Milk cleanser a zillion times (ok, I am joking, max I go is 3-4 times) before I wash my face with Faceshop facial cleansing rice water.

Sometimes I think I over used it and it is finishing soon. So is my facial wash -.-. lol.
Paranoid max ?

Anyway, a close up of the 2 small tube of moisturiser and acne spot cream.

Pauline shared a small technic on how to use my toner to prevent small little things from growing on my face. More skin care procedure!

The SPA-Lon ATP38 and Acne { Visit Dairy }

My first day at SPA-Lon is on the 5th June 2014. I decided to try SPA-Lon ATP-38 to help cure my terrible pimples outbreak and facial condition after Mag reassured me. I really want to thank her and SPA-Lon for giving me some hope and regain some confidence in getting back my flawless skin.

Well, I was quite insecure with regards to extraction because I had tried many places and extraction just didn't work for my skin. My skin unfortunately became angry and pimples started surfacing. It got worse about 3 months back and I felt emotionally affected because I am really concerned about it. With such outrage of pimples on my face, I can't apply my make up on nicely and my skin wasn't as flawless as before.

When people asked about my pimples, I just had to reply the same thing over and over again. Some would even jokingly tease me about it. I knew they were joking and didn't mean any harm, but somehow deep inside, I don't feel secure and as confident anymore because I know exactly that having that much pimples on my face doesn't make me look good even with make up. I am also concern about how I look on camera when I am filming because it catches every single detail on screen. :(

I met Pauline, the branch manager (my beautician too) on my first day at SPA-Lon's Choa Chu Kang branch. I really appreciate the patience she have with me. To be honest, I was holding back and was uncomfortable once I heard the word "Extraction". Those who did it before, will know how painful it is. Totally like a torture chamber kind of procedure to me!

To help gauge the right level of the SPA bed I am going to lie on later, Pauline took my blood pressure and ensure that nothing of such like giddiness will occur during the session. My blood pressure is low and Pauline said it's not really a good sign as it might be part of the cause of my outbreak of acnes - suspected myself and even my beautician, my acne has also got to do with hormonal imbalance, to be honest I am having irregular period since the start of the year. :(

But on the other hand, it's also cause by the impurities stuck beneath my skin and pores due to poor cleansing of my face. We had a long talk and discussed a lot of thing that might cause my acnes and also the possibilities of doing extractions and my face will look better in days to come.

I really need a lot of reassurance due to many bad experience at different facials that I used to go. Pauline also told me that she needs to start by extracting all the impurities and calm the pimples down before proceeding to the rest of the ATP-38 treatments.

The ATP-38 treatments includes:

- Micropeeling Treatment
- Photo Rejuvenation Treatment
- Radio Frequency Treatment
- Cryocooling Treatment
- Eye-lifting Treatment

This is my face after my first extractions, ATP-38's Micropeeling Treatment and Photo Rejuvenation Treatment.

2nd Day on 8th June 2014

This is my face after letting it healed for about 2 days and using the cleansing milk, toner, moisturiser and acne spot cream given by SPA-Lon.

Even though after the first extractions there are some pus surfacing, they kind of disappear or accidentally break itself this past 2 days. I was left with some pus when I made my 2nd visit to SPA-Lon to see Pauline again.

I still had some concern regarding pus appearing on my face because thats what I experience before. Seeing pus are naturally known as a not good sign, because pus consists of a buildup of dead leukocytes (white blood cells) from the body's immune system in response to infection. It accumulates at the site of inflammation. When the buildup is on or very near the surface of the skin it is called a pustule or pimple.

Pus is a sign of infection. This is good and bad news:

Good news - it means that the body's immune system is fighting the infection.
Bad news - it means that there is an infection.
:(

Well Pauline reassured me that it's normal and that is why the 2nd visit is very important.
Aside from the early pus I saw, everything became better and my face looks better as compare to the first time when I just did my extraction.

So I proceed on with the 2nd session with some confident and less worried. (Though, I really really really hate extractions because it hurtssss!) I am afraid of pain, like literally painnnn! :( Sometimes I worried about getting pregnant, lol -.-)

Oh well, they always say, no pain no gain right.

It's a bet.

Got myself changed into my robe as usual. They provide locker as well to keep my bags and stuff. :)

As usual, Pauline did  Micropeeling Treatment first and then to extraction. Pauline didn't do the complete ATP-38 treatments as she said she want to cure my pimple problems first.

Here's my face after the extractions and Micropeeling treatment.

My face became much brighter and of course a little redder because of the extractions.

Next Pauline did the Photo Rejuvenation Treatment for me where it will help to re-energise, restructure and revitalise skin cells. This results in increased collagen production and regulates melanin giving me a more radiant skin.

Next a mask was applied on my face, what feels really cooling but stings at the same time quite badly because there's a lot of opened wound on my face and it's like killing the bacteria for me.

This is how it looks like. HAHAA. I look like.......Alien. LOL.

Everything was an enjoyment except the extraction part. lol.
Here's my face after everything. If you notice that it is less red and bumping and it looks more radiant than before.

Now my face have been healing for the pass 1 week and literally it had been struggling much with the hot & humid weather at Bangkok. Pus was still seen and was pretty bad but after sleeping with air-con in the hotel at BKK, my face always looks better every morning.

When I came back Singapore, still there are pus taking their turns to appear on my face. Few days ago, it had became slightly better, but today as I am writing this post, there are new pus surfacing, though now my face looks much better as compare to the early healing days.

I realised my face is sensitive or rather it's an heredity thing. Even till now my mum still have pimples too and my entire family including my sisters have pimples and sensitivity problem. Oh and I recall my dad not having really good skins as well.

I probably will stop extractions and opening my pores as I don't want to further agitate the pimples. But no doubt I personally feel the first few ATP-38 treatment is good!

I am heading back for a 3rd visit to SPA-Lon at Choa Chu Kang this coming Wednesday afternoon. I shall update here again!

(Review) Fighting Acnes with Biolee acnépris Range

Thank you Biolee Team for pampering me with 6 full size Biolee products, thus I get to try out their Biolee acnépris products! Just in time because I had major breakout recently!

No reason why and I have been wondering too because I've never had such major pimple breakout before. All was well until about a month or two back...

There are many reasons you can breakout as an adult. Stress or changes in your hormone levels, like menopause or switching or stopping birth control pills, are two possibilities.
Some medications, including lithium, anti-seizure drugs, and corticosteroids, can cause acne.

Well, I definitely don't take birth control pills and didn't take any drugs recently, in addition it's too early for menopause at my age. (Yea you got that)

Whatever the reason it may be, there's only one thing I know for sure is that I want to get rid of these pimples!

I think the most basic to help start making these pimples disappear is to make sure I practice good daily skin care. That is where Biolee acnépris products come into use.

(More about Biolee : http://biolee.com.sg/ )

Let start off with the first step of skin care which is to cleanse my face with Biolee acnépris
Purifying Foam Cleanser.

Singapore Retail Price at SGD$35.

Perfect for sensitive skin, this gentle cleanser is hypoallergenic yet effectively able to deeply cleanse away makeup, oil and dirt. The gentle foam glides perfectly onto my skin, softening and cleansing away bacteria to reveal a fresher and cleaner complexion without drying it out.

My skin definitely brightens up to a certain extend and I don't feel oily or greasy anymore.
In fact, my skin feels so much breathable with all the dirts and oil away.
Well, some products may cause our skin to dry up after using but not for Biolee acnépris
Purifying Foam Cleanser. I enjoy using it as it also contains pine pollen extracts, producing such nice fragrance while I cleanse my face; making me feel all so relaxing!

Next, I use Biolee acnépris Esthetical Peeling Gel to exfoliate my face.

Singapore Retail Price at SGD$35

I brighten and refine my skin with this gommage exfoliation gel. It does not contain any scrubbing grains. It clears grimy dead skin cells from enlarged pores while minimizing them and enhances cellular renewal. Gently peel my way to a healthy glow instantly! :)

Massage it in, using a circular motion for a few minutes. Gently work the esthetical peeling gel into the pores of your face. After that rinse with warm water and then pat dry. It is advisable to use twice a week before going to bed and best after cleansing your face with Biolee acnépris
Purifying Foam Cleanser!

After that I either do some masking or proceed to the next daily skin care step of applying Biolee acnépris Control Skin Toner.

 Singapore Retail Price at SGD$42

Using natural pine pollen to control surface oil, this light weight and oil free toner, revitalizes and hydrates my skin, giving it a radiant glow. My face feels super cooling and refreshing after applying it. (P.S: I like placing my face in front of my home air cooler after applying toner to feel extra cooling hehe). It is a necessary second step after cleansing to maintain the right PH balance and prevent irritation for my sensitive acne/oily skin. I use it in the morning and before I go to bed.

(Applying Biolee acnépris Control Skin Toner & Biolee acnépris Dramatic Spot for about a week now)

For my current daily skin care steps, I omitted the application of moisturizer and go on with the application of  Biolee acnépris Dramatic Spot.

Singapore Retail Price at SGD$48.

I really can’t wait to get rid of those pesky red pimple! The highly effective natural pine pollen extract helps to calm red and infected skin. Pine pollen is known to be anti-bacterial and can dramatically improve and cure acne speedily. It is only to be used on infected areas and do prevent application around the eye area. I use it every morning and night before I go to bed.

It doesn't feel oily/heavy on my skin and comes with a nice fragrance as well.

After applying Dramatic Spot, I proceed with my daily application of Biolee acnépris Oil-Free UV Protector with SPF 40/PA++

Singapore Retail Price at SGD$35

Extremely light weight and non-comedogenic, this totally natural and paraben free UV protector effectively shields my skin from the harmful UV rays from the sun. The aloe- vera extract and hyaluronic acid makes this sunscreen not only a necessary shield from the sun but also a great skin care that hydrates.

It is very important for us to put on Sunscreen especially when you are living in such a sunny country, Singapore.

Here are also 5 reason why putting on UV Protector/Sunscreen is important.

❥ The ozone layer is depleting and your body needs shielding from harmful rays.

❥ Skin cancer rates are on the rise &
sunscreen has been proven to decrease the development of skin cancer.

❥ It helps to prevent facial brown spots and skin discolorations.

❥ It also helps to reduce the appearance of facial red veins and blotchiness.

❥ It slows down the development of wrinkled, premature aging skin.

I used to worry that applying sunscreen on my face will increase the possibility of clogging my pores because most sunscreens are greasy and oily as long as they are not in gel or water based form.

But Biolee acnépris Oil-Free UV Protector proves me wrong as my face skin pores are still able to breath underneath after applying. (P.S: Don't tell me how I know, you will just feel it and know it!).

As per its name, it's indeed Oil-Free and it kind of helps a little bit in brightening my skin further.

Now I have been using the Biolee acnépris Range for about 2 weeks/ about 2.5 weeks to be exact.
Here's the huge improvements! I am super happy because it works!!!

As you can see there's a huge reduction in reddish spots and pimples on my face. My face skin also appear smoother and fairer. I definitely look better now! ≥︺‿︺≤

Furthermore I went to do some research and found out that Pine Pollen can successfully treat skin conditions of all kinds. It can be made into a cream to apply directly to the skin when battling eczema, acne, impetigo, and diaper rash. The arginine in Pine Pollen also caters to the improvement of skin challenges. Which means, Biolee acnépris products are capable of that because the entire Biolee acnépris Products contains formulated pine pollen extract!

I believe I can say bye bye to those horrible acnes soon if I continue using Biolee acnépris Range!

FIGHTING!

Thank you once again to the lovely Biolee team for letting me be part of the appointed bloggers for Biolee acnépris Range! They also organized a photo shoot for us! I had fun at the photo shoot and just simply enjoyed the entire photo shoot session with them and the rest of the appointed bloggers! (✿◠‿◠)
