MELLBEN SIGNATURE - New outlet opened on the 19th September 2013 with still ever awesome and well known delicious crab dishes and other delectable dishes!
Before the tasting, I heard that they are well known for their claypot crab bee hoon, and that many food lovers have braved rain and storm to queue up in its heartlands outlet, all just for their crabs. So now you guys can avoid their long queue by heading to their newly open outlet at 12 Prince Edward Road !
This is my first time though and I am so glad I attended the food tasting hahahaha!
The food is really awesome and I thought to myself that this is going to be one of the choices for occasions in future! GOOD FOOD!
I drank lime juice to make myself feel healthier. lol.
Well, the coconut is not mine. Someone beside me was having it, so I just randomly took a shot of it.
Seafood Beancurd Broth with real crab meat ♥ Small: $10 Medium: $20
Started off with this soup full of tofu and other pretty little things.
First dish is already slurpppsss! I ate 1 and a half bowl of it ;). lol.
Crispy Tofu and it's really crispy and tasty.
One round around the table and it's gone!
Cripsy Beancurd
Small : $8 Medium : $10
One of their signature dish -- Crab Bee Hoon Soup.
SCALLOPS!
XO sauce asparagus with scallops
Small: $20 Medium: $30
Salted Egg PORK RIBS!
Small : $15 Medium: $20
I wasn't a fan of Pork Ribs and I don't eat Pork Ribs but this makes me drool!
Whatever dishes that has Salted Egg to being with is always good and these Pork Ribs are full of meat unlike the others which I had at some other places which turned me off with little meat or close to none.
Dragon Fruit Fried Fish - Prices depends on its size!
Pretty looking fish hurx!
HAHAA
Chilli Crab! - Prices depends on market rate.
It's a must have - one of their signature dishes as well.

Oh so yummy Golden Buns! <3
LOOVVE THE BUNS! Always love golden buns with the chili crabby gravy!
The thick chili gravy was spicy and slightly sweet, and I particularly enjoyed the eggy taste.
Mushroom and “Bai Bai” vegetables
Small: $15 Medium: $20
Oh this is super crispy and the sauce doesn't affect the crispiness.
Salad Prawns
S: $35 M: $45
Prawn and what tastes like mayo/prawn paste with really attractive layout and design of the dishes, including decorations on the side with some different color dragon fruits.
Not forgetting the ever tasty Signature butter cream crabs which everyone talks about.
Buttery and creamy like it's given name, the butter cream was so thick and creamy and sticky and sweet that it was a joy to soak up the crab meat in it.
I wasn't sure of which part of the crab is the best to eat but I just took this part of the crab which seem easiest of all to get lots of crab meat. HAHA.
It was nice but now I know that the crab meat at its clipper or clapper or whatever you call it, is stiffer as compare to the leg part which is extra tender. However, tons of crab meats makes me feel super satisfied and filling!
Last but not least the traditional ONI dessert!
YAM YAM YAM PASTE!
Yam Paste
