I'll be somebody someday

因為我不完美
才會是獨特的誰

Fun at Sentosa Imbiah Lookout & CineBlast

Have you ever thought of where to go for some fun & excitement other than the normal outing activities that most of us do such as movie, KTV, pool, buffet, shopping..... ?

Well, there's a place that you should go!

Me and few other bloggers headed off to Sentosa Imbiah Lookout together last Sunday to experience Sentosa 4D Magix's award-winning attractions!

The 3 popular attractions namely, Pirates in 4D, Extreme Log Ride and Desperados in 3D.

I am afraid of scary rides like those in USS or some other theme park, well....I admit I am quite a "scary-cat".

I was half worried about the rides, too afraid that they might turn out too scary and "heart-falling".
But to my surprise, I can handle them :P

First ride and here we go! - Extreme Log Ride!

Singapore's First Cinematic Ride, CineBlast.

Extreme Log Ride presents an interactive movie experience with 4-dimensional digital effects springing movies to life. Built at a cost of SGD$4.5million with yearly upgrades to keep up with technology advancement.

With 9 motion capsules nestled within the cool theatre and all operating on a state-of-the-art 6 axis motion system, objects come to life right off the screen!

Before going into the theatre, we entered a room and experienced some nice musical-lights performance.

The tribal-looking guy with a blue painted face appeared to give us some safety warning & instructions. ;)

To top it off, wind blasters are added to mimic a roller coaster ride in the theatre too!

Next up after the Extreme Log Ride, we headed off to try Pirates In 4D!

While waiting for our turn at the queue, there's a group of performers to keep us entertained :).

Safety video time~

Waiting for the fun to start!

Pirates in 4D, built at a cost of SGD$3.5milllion, is the first 4D theatre in South-East Asia. Utilizing the state-of-the-art digital projection system. The specially imported seats help to create a whole new generation in movie magic; equipped with built in speakers as well as environmental effects to keep you entertained throughout the show!

What I like most about it is the water features, seat vibration, leg ticklers and base shakers. It like everything became so real as compare to sitting in the normal movie theatre. It makes it exciting and fun, most of us were caught surprised and shocked with the leg ticklers and water features. Hahaha!

After that, we headed to our last stop --> Desperados in 3D!

Yay the previous batch of people finally done! It's our turn! :D

Desperados in 3D is the first 3D Interactive Shoot-Out Theatre in Singapore. It's an interactive 3D shoot-out gaming experience with hand-held motioin sensor guns while riding on a moving saddle.

Built at a cost of SGD$1.5million, and a recent upgrade at a cost of SGD$200K, it utilizes state-of-the-art 3D projection system that allows the audience to see bullets and objects flying right off the screen!

Look at the seats!

The rocking saddles and up-beat rhythms throughout the show give the audience an extra adrenaline boost while they score through the dusky town and ominous mines.

All we have to do is to aim and shoot at the small little enemies!

Look at me, HAHAHA! The girl in blue toga dress is me! So serious uhhh..uhmmm. lol

Look at the score board! 645 point is insane!
I scored 183 only. lol. I definitely need more practices.

This interactive shoot-out game really test us on our sharp shooting abilities while having to dodge bandits. Let's see if you can do better than me :P

It's definitely worth it to give these rides another visit!

If you are wondering how much does it cost, here it is ! :)

I would love to thanks Sentosa 4D Magix & CineBlast for having us! Thank you Watermelon Communication & Grace Chan from Sentosa 4D Magix for the invitation and being such a good host!

I definitely enjoyed my Sunday at Sentosa! ;)

Before I end the post, do head on to Sentosa Imbiah Lookout to experience the festive fun & excitement!

MooJaa, Mookata Thai BBQ Steamboat

Monday blue? Well not for me this Monday! :D

First I had a wonderful lunch at Xris's house which reminded me of the days when I still had the chance to eat my mum's cooking. Home sweet home..., the kind of cooking that warmth you up entirely! :)

Nothing beats but good food throughout the day...

Thank you MooJaa for inviting me and my guest to a food tasting session at their first Mookata Thai BBQ Steamboat/Barbecue outlet.

Some of you might be wondering what is Mookata.
Well, "Moo Ka Ta", for the uninitiated, literally means "Pork Skillet" in Thai and refers to the special cooking apparatus created to enjoy both barbecue and hot pot at the same time.

How it works?

Below placed a crock of charcoal with a trough of soup that sits on it, and with a dome shaped grill placed on the trough. Allowing the smoke from the charcoal to waft up to the grill, perfuming the meats with some seriously fragrant "wok hei" (wok's breath)

At MooJaa, only quality Binchotan Japanese Charcoal is served. Some unique charcoal I've not seen before, unlike the normal BBQ charcoal we all used. These one doesn't produce the soot like the black charcoal and do not cause the food to be acidic after BBQ-ing.

This is my first time trying Mookata and it's one "learning-Journey" food tasting session for me at MooJaa this evening :)

Before starting, a cube of pork lard was place at the top of the dome, and it melted into unctuous fatty goodness, adding a great fragrance and crisp to the meats barbecued on the dome. I added like more than one time of the pork lard layer, but I heard that one time is enough :P

A side tip: The pork lard can be taken off from the dome at any time if there's not enough space at the top of the dome to lay all your meat. Well, I had a hard time preventing my chuck of meat from falling into the soup based. Hahaha! I had fun laughing at myself though. lol. I guessed I need more practice on that! My friend who tagged along with me is quite skilful with that worh. :P

Moo Ka ta is probably one of the most popular get together meal among the Thai. And it is definitely becoming one of Singaporean get together meal too.

At MooJaa, the price is consider reasonably cheap and the quality is good, ingredients is fresh and no cheap luncheon meat or cheap hot dog seen.

Sorry ladies & gentlemen, all the nice hot dog, tofu, Hokkaido scallops etc got eaten by me before the camera can made its way on to the table. :P

Some of you might know that this concept has been catching up on in Singapore lately and MooJaa is the latest edition. Opened for barely less than 4 months, MooJaa serves good quality Thai BBQ Steamboat.

Something that I am addicted to the most are the two popular dipping sauces offered at MooJaa.
The Sweet Sour Seafood & The Spicy BBQ Sauce.

When I heard that these sauces are prepared from scratch fresh weekly in small batches with 31 different ingredients, involving 6hrs of non-stop stirring, I was stunned for a moment. lol.
I love the Sweet Sour Seafood sauce alot as it's not too spicy. So for people who go for the volcano kind of spiciness, the Spicy BBQ sauce is just for you. In fact most Thai loves the Spicy BBQ sauce. ^^
No doubt both the sauces are full of tangy, unami flavours that enhance the good quality meat. Dipping anything with them taste as good too.

Their soup is another secret recipe of MooJaa. I have never taste any soup base as nice as theirs!

The soup base is brewed for 5hrs to create a chicken and pork bone broth that's tasty and light in the beginning, and turns incredibly flavourful and complex by the middle of the Moo Ka Ta session.

At the end of the session, it feels awesome to finish it off with a cup of MooJaa well known house-brewed Thai Iced Milk Tea.

The range of food available for steamboat BBQ at MooJaa is good but not too intensive, with options similar to what you'll find at other steamboat places. However, the difference with Thai steamboat and barbecue is in the unique preparation method of Moo Ka ta, the unique dipping sauces for the food and their Thai Milk Tea.

MooJaa also served lunch Ala carte such as Green Curry Chicken, Pineapple fried rice, Basil Leaf Pork( w/o century egg) etc.

Hehe me and my friend, finally his identity is exposed.

By the way, in Thai, “MooJaa” means “my lovely pig”. It is a popular slang expression commonly used by couples, teasing each other when they put on a little “happy weight” during their relationship.

A new word learnt uh! After a session of Moo Ka ta at MooJaa with your love ones, you know what to do! :P (Whatever you want to do lah hor, Hahahahaa!)
