Tim Ho Wan at Aperia

Before the night ends, me and elder sister went to Tim Ho Wan to try their new dishes!

It's my first time at Tim Ho Wan because their queue is always so long!

So here I am at their newest outlet!

It's at APERIA which is located very near Lavender MRT.

The first dish of the night is one of the new dishes launched.

Fried Potato Flour with Apple and Diced Chicken. 

$5.00

I love how crispy it is on the outside and the flour is not too thick as well. The filling inside consist of potato, apple and chicken which is hot, juicy and creamy!

Potato lover will loveeee it!

Crispy Seafood Rice Hor Fun ($6.80); which is also one of the new dish.

Super crispy Hor Fun that feels like KeroPok, and the soup does magic after you pour them on the crispy Hor fun.

It tastes really great and there is this funny clicking sound coming from the crispy Hor Fun when you pour the soup onto it. It's a really interesting dish.

Pan Fried dumplings with Leek ($4.50), the last of the 3 latest new dishes launched. 

Tasty, crispy and cooked just right. 

The famous Baked Bun with BBQ Pork at $4.50 for 3 buns.

I ate that at one of my friend's birthday and now again. It's still one of the best bun around. 

Pan Fried Carrot Cake at $4.50.

Nothing much about this one, tasty and delicious. 

Spinach Dumpling with Shrimp ($3.80).

Thick fillings, full of spinach and shrimps! 

Yummy.

Vermicelli Roll with Sweet and Sesame Sauce ($4.20).

I thought the sauce is peanut butter at first because it really tastes like one. Hahha!

It's an interesting combination and has a unique tastes.  I doubt you find it anywhere outside of Tim Ho Wan. It's my first time coming across this type of dish. Usually you only see those usual Cha Siu vermicelli roll or shrimp vermicelli roll.

Steamed Egg Cake at $3.80.

Sweet in taste, bouncy and soft. Basically, it's a little like sponge cake but not sponge cake. A little bit like Nian Gao. LOL. Those Chinese traditional prayer cake for those who don't know what is that. 

Something extra we ordered...

The pork texture is really... different. Some people might not like it. It's extra slimy, bouncy and loose, as in not like those cooked solid pork. 

Taste wise is okay.

Tonic Medlar & Osmanthus Cake $3.50.

This is better than others I have eaten before. Not too hard and it's rich in taste.

Tastes really fresh as well. Chef recommended us to eat it on the spot for it's best quality and tastes!

Mango Pomelo Sago ($5.00)

I would say not bad compare to other Mango Pomelo Sago at other places! HAHA!

We end off our night with delicious food from Tim Ho Wan!

Introducing Manhattan 006 : Idea derived from James Bond 007

Hi all!

Once again I was invited to the food tasting by Dean from Manhattan Fish Market to try their all new Manhattan 006. 

Thank you for always inviting me down to join you guys and other bloggers for a casual dinner! I really enjoyed it. :D

So let the food relishing starts! But before that, it's always nice to wait for the rest to arrive! :)

So we ordered some drinks while waiting for the other bloggers to arrive. Here's some of the drinks me and other blogger ordered!

❤ Sunset By The Bay
There is nothing more relaxing than sipping on our Earl Grey tea mixed with peachy fruit bites, as the beautiful crimson sun dips into the deep blue ocean. (SGD$6.00)

❤ Lemongrass Cooler
Infused with natural flavors of lemongrass, lychee and aloe vera, their icy Chamomile tea helps to improve digestion and promote healthier skin. (SGD$6.00)

❤ Pandan Paradise
Enjoy their delicious caramalized apple juice with the fragant aroma of pandan, sure to keep you calm and relaxed all day long. (SGD$6.00)

❤ Single Garlic Herb Mussels
Poached mussels in their signature Garlic Herb sauce, served with baguette to soak up the delicious sauce. (SGD$5.95)

I love their bread especially when it goes with the Garlic Herb Sauce.

Crispy yet soaky and tasty!

Now here comes the main highlight of my post - Manhattan 006! I was told that the idea of it's name comes from the James Bond 007 Movie. Fair enough. HAHA.

So what is inside Manhattan 006?

♛ Juicy and succulent Leggy Miss Prawn –prawns which are battered to perfection and garnished with temptingly rich and tangy French mustard sauce. 

♛ Saucy Mr Dory; promises a sterling taste where fine fillets of dory are grilled in order to seal in the flavor. To top up a superb performance, herb butter sauce is drizzled atop the grilled dory. 

♛ Nutty Ms Calamari. You will be enthralled with its taste and crispiness, with a batter coated with nuts and Manhattan Fish Market signature flaming sauce for a memorable crunchy performance. 

♛ Strong Mussel Man, another sure favorite amongst fans of shellfish as they savor mussels tastily dressed in wasabi lime sauce – truly a feat of a performance poised to thrill the taste buds.

Out of the 6 different types, I love the Calamari and Mussels the most!

After every meal, I would always love a dessert as a closure to my tastebuds.

Here's the all time favourite.

Warm delicious brownie, topped with smooth vanilla ice-cream and nuts and drizzled with sizzling caramel sauce. A rich sensation in every bite! (SGD$9.90)

I had a great time at Manhattan Fish Market last week and I would recommend that you share Manhattan 006 with 3 people instead though. I was told that it's meant for 2 people but I personally felt that it's quite a huge serving. Unless you are like a big eater or something, you can feel free to share between 2 people. :) Manhattan 006 is at SGD$44.95)

[Evalee's Dairy] Fat Kids Meet-Up on a Wednesday

Fat Kids is a nick given by....

I don't know manx seriously. LOL. 

Basically it's a group of girls who eat, and we watched "Fat Kids are Harder to Kidnap" at Esplanade together. So we named our Whatsapp group "Fat Kids BBQ"
BBQ supposed to happen but was postponed because of me. HEHE.

We eat to get fatter so that the kidnappers will have a harder time to kidnap us.

We headed to.....what seems like a place that sell only pizza for lunch.

I was surprised they do sell tasty Sides, Salads and Spaghetti as well.

Squid Ink Skinny Pizza as recommended by Josc. Apparently, I never had black Squid Ink before because I always thought that it's going to taste awful. But to my surprise it's awesome! ♥

The Salad that we had, and the Tuna taste freaking awesome! I prefer the tuna to the veggies on the plate. The green veggie does taste a little bitter but for healthy sake, I ate it! LOL.

The tasty side that I mentioned earlier on. It's made entirely with pumpkin and it's sugar coated!

We weren't feeling full yet so we ordered an addition Spaghetti.

I had a great time with the girls, accompanied with great food and recommendations.

By the way SKINNY PIZZA is at PLAZA SINGAPURA. I mean at least the one we went to is at PS.

Yeap yeap, go and try their food. Not as bad as I always assumed it to be.
