Plot Summary

In "RED 2," the high-octane action-comedy sequel to the worldwide sleeper hit, retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device. To succeed, they'll need to survive an army of relentless assassins, ruthless terrorists and power-crazed government officials, all eager to get their hands on the next-generation weapon. The mission takes Frank and his motley crew to Paris, London and Moscow. Outgunned and out-manned, they have only their cunning wits, their old-school skills, and each other to rely on as they try to save the world-and stay alive in the process.

My Review

I was invited thankfully by Shaun to RED 2 Preview at Shaw House. I didn't even know what is it about. HAHA! I was asking if it's like a thriller or horror movie because it sounded like one. I did my research after watching and realize that there's RED in 2010! ~Yes I am not a movie junkies~ I didn't watch RED in 2010, so without the prior expectation of this movie, I really liked RED 2.

Basically this is an action movie with bullets, explosions and car chases. The different interactions between the different characters in the movie was quite comical at times, especially the interaction between Frank Moses (Bruce Willis) and his civilian girlfriend, Sarah (Mary-Louise Parker) who messes up with the operations at times.

Byung Hun Lee played the hired assassin and has easily the coolest moves in this movie. Byung Hun has really made a name for himself to be not only a good-looking Korean actor but also an actor that probably deserve himself a main cast movie. Not forgetting that body to die for, even though I am not really into guys having nice body. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But out of the entire cast, the person who stole the show is John Malkovich who plays Marvin, the ex-spy buddy of Frank. He definitely won my vote for being the main contributor for the comedy portion of RED 2. Not only just the humour, but he was truly the heart and soul of the movie, making the film not a disaster.

The rest of the cast is Catherine Zeta-Jones as a Russian agent and former lover of Frank. Helen Mirren as a retired English secret agent, Victoria. For her age, Helen definitely looks great. Neal McDonough as an American agent who will torture anyone to justify his means. And finally Anthony Hopkins, I will leave his part out for some suspense when you watch the movie.

Overall, RED 2 is not a bad show, can’t be too bad with so many mega stars in one show. It would be a good show for a group of friends to watch together, because it combines just the right amount of romance, comedy and action, suitable for everyone.

Here's one of the comical part in the movie which make me laugh pretty hard.
Hmm wonder what she's doing hur while on the phone. Hehee...

[Movie Review] The Host

Hi Guys!
I went for a movie preview for "The Host" recently at Vivocity Golden Village.
I thought it was a thriller. HAHAHA!
Anyway it's not scary at all lah. Phew....

Short Synopsis:
When an unseen enemy threatens mankind by taking over their bodies and erasing their memories, Melanie will risk everything to protect the people she cares most about, proving that love can conquer all in a dangerous new world.

Director: Andrew Niccol
Writers: Stephenie Meyer (novel), Andrew Niccol(screenplay)
Stars: Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons, Jake Abel

Review:
It took me by surprise because I didn't read the synopsis at all or watch the trailer before heading for the preview. I felt that they had really good story plot and all. I was expecting more excitement and like action-pack stuff in the movie though. Maybe it's the first thought of it, that it's a thriller movie -.-. LOL. Anyway I rate 8 out of 10. Enjoyed watching the movie, especially heart felt moments, a lot of bloggers admitted that they cried during the movie. Hahaha. Well, I wasn't one of them, but I couldn't deny that I am actually at the verge of tearing at some scenes. Oh so sad and touching. Worth the watch!

Check out the trailer:
By the way, I think she is super chio and girl next door. ♥

[Movie Review] Django Unchained

DJango Unchained
Django is a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz. Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles – dead or alive.

Director:

Watch the trailer for some insights of what this movie is about.

Django Unchained is more than just it's movie descriptions. A movie that shows back in time how black niggers are slaveries to the white. But not all white men are the bad ones. The story of how a nigger saved his wife and free her from the cruel slavery of the whites with the help from a German bounty man. I was not thrill when the screen came on in the cinema because it looks like another old boring movie with boring soundtrack. The soundtrack repeat Django again and again. But was surprise that this close to 3hours long movie had great meanings behind. Didn't regret going for the movie at The Cathay after all!

Thank you Tiffany Yong for the invites!

Meanwhile do also check out Hpility's new video, his sponsored trip to Kelantan Malaysia with William. I think it's really awesome. I love traveling and beautiful sceneries too and interesting sights that we never get to see in Singapore. I believe deep inside we all love to travel & see the world.

REVIEW:

I went to the movie preview without knowing what is this all about. I didn't expect it to be an animation movie, personally I don't really like watching animation movie because it's considered cartoon to me, unless it's got to do with fairy tales. It's a black & white movie so it wasn't that appealing to me when it started.

However, after watching it, I think it's not bad. There are a few touching scenes and for a moment or two, I thought something horrifying is going to happen at some point in the movie.

I rate 7/10.
On the side note: Some of the bloggers dropped tears while watching. lol. I proved my point that it's heart-warming.

Watch the trailer!
