This Valentine's Day I want to say...

Hi guys!

I hope everyone is having a great day on the 14th of Feb!
I have heard so many people expressing their sadness and disappointment for not having a date on Valentine’s Day.

To be honest, I have never spend Valentine’s Day with a boyfriend at all. And I am not feeling any less on this very special day.

I believe that Valentine's Day is not just for couple.
If you think about it, it actually a day to show how special someone is.
That someone can always be your mum, dad, sister, friends. It doesn’t really necessary have to a boyfriend or a girlfriend.

That special someone can be you too!
Treat yourself to good stuff like food.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy watching this video. As usual hit the share button to share this video. Subscribe to my channel for more awesome stuff!

(YOUTUBE) She's different | A Valentine's Day Video

Hello guys!

Let's discuss a little bit more together about my recent Youtube Video. If you have not seen it, here it is:

In this short film, we witnessed a lady, at age 22, still going around doing her yearly Valentine's Day routine, giving out flowers to people who is nothing more than a stranger. Many of us will not have the time or thought to go about keeping this routine for 12 years. That a side, roses are expensive gift too. She didn't just gave it to couple, but she also gave it to individual on the streets.

Why did she do it?
Let's go deeper together and understand this young lady a little more.

Background:
She is single-handedly brought up by her mother and she doesn't have any sibling. Even though, she pretty much spent her days alone, she always bump into happy couples and people almost everyday. She saw them in dramas, in videos, on the bus and at shopping malls.

She feels envious and happy for people who get to specially celebrate and spend such special occasions with their other half. She didn't had anyone, not even her mother because she is too busy working overseas and she hardly see her. No one ever gives her any roses or flowers of sort on special occasions like this.

So she thought to herself that since she couldn't quite had the chance to experience such joy and happiness of receiving flowers, she wants to try her best to let others like her to have the chance to experience them.

She thought: "Why not do something nice on Valentine's Day? Why not give something meaningful to someone? Meaningful gift like rose."

Well, what goes around come around. ;) Including the good stuff...
So do more good to others. Do a little something for people everyday.

Now, let's talk about what goes on behind the scene.

Pre-production:

I missed quite a number of bus stops and MRT stops almost every single day to work because I was endlessly on my phone.
Thankfully, I had awesome people around me who are willing to help! Very very thankful!
Without them, this video wouldn't have make it and I wouldn't have been able to share such wonderful message to my audience!

The actual shoot:

We were caught up in bad weather and really had bad ambience. We literally ran 2 times from the heavy rain, looking for shelters. All we had in mind at that time, was to protect all the equipments & props that were with us. I was so worried about the camera & audio equipments when the merciless rain suddenly attacked us. No warnings were given by Ti Gong Peh (God). Sigh. It was super challenging because all shots and plans were being forced to change at last minute due to the terrible weather.

And guessed what, we had 6 Esplanade security guards with us for the last few footages at about 12 am. Well, they are not there to protect us from the rain. They are there to get a part in the video...

I am just kidding. LOL! You know what security guards do right? Other than protecting and guarding, their profession actually also includes chasing people out. ;) Oh well, we do what we can!

Post-production:

I nearly died.
Magics were done in post-production when you have so much missing audios.
Color corrections is a killer as well.
Cuts of footages and syncing of audio are done at my best as well.
~3 days of 2-3hrs sleep are worth it in the end.

Yeah, fell sick twice in a month. *CLAPS* New achievement unlocked. lol.

SUCCESSFULLY uploaded the video.

Guess what?
On the day itself, I realised 2 consecutive spelling mistake. I think sleepy monster had succeeded in it's job to make me type diary as dairy. I even had my creative to my max to cover this little error. LOL! Like for example: I named my diary as dairy because I love to drink dairy products like milk.

Which is true! HAHAHAA.

But yeah, I decided to stop being lame and rushed down from my last show to at least get the subtitle right.
AND, at last, it made it on time on Youtube. Thank you so much to those who play a part in the making of this video! Big love to every single one of you!

It's my first Valentine's day short film and my 2nd short film on my Youtube Channel. I hope you guys enjoy it and remember to do a little something good everyday, not just on special occasions!

If you like it, do remember to hit the subscribe and thumb up button~ It would also help a lot to spread something meaningful to other by sharing this post or the video.

In the mean time, let's chill, relax and enjoy the rest of our week!
Stay tuned for a new video this coming Monday, 29th Feb 2016, 8PM.

P.S:
Valentine's Day is a special occasion whereby everyone express their love to their special ones. It doesn't have to necessary be just couple. So do your little magic to the individuals to make them feel special too~ OH! By the way, I see a lot of people using Happy V-Day. Well, technically, it is correct because V-Day also falls on 14th Feb. The only difference is, it is a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls started by author, playwright and activist Eve Ensler. For those who didn't know, now you know. ;)

14th February is truly a meaningful day to remember.

[Advertorial Post] Sephora Online X Luxola Rebranded

Happy New Year and Happy Valentine's Day everyone! (っ^▿^)۶٩(˘◡˘ )
I hope you guys enjoyed your holidays!❤(っ^▿^)

I am back here with some latest good news to share! I am sure you guys are aware that I am pretty much into beauty products. And I usually buy them at Sephora retail store for convenience due to the wide range of brands they have and many easy-to-access Sephora retail outlets.

This time, I am so glad to tell you guys that Sephora Singapore is now online at Sephora.sg and Luxola has been rebranded to Sephora.sg!  Now I don't have to go all the way to their retail outlets when I am too busy and it makes it more convenient for me to purchase my beauty products online.

However, do take note that not all brands/products are available in stores. But just keep checking back, it might just be available online for purchase one day~ ;)) For now, majority of the brands are available for purchase online! And there are some brands that are exclusively available online (not found in stores), such as Alpha H.

Recently, they sent me a huge beauty box full of goodness! I really can't wait to open them up and try! After all these busy work days, I finally have time to open them up 1 by 1 and slowly look through the beauty products I've received. I am sure everybody love new stuff! ;))

There are brands like:
Nudestix, Marc Jacobs, Winky Lux, Laqa & Co, Balance Me, Alpha-H, Thisworks, Benefit, Mirenesse and Sephora! ☜(ˆ▿ˆc)

With so many new products to try, experiment and play with I decided to do something fun! I will challenge myself to use some of the beauty products to create a face of the day. ᕙ(`▿´)ᕗ It's not easy to change your regular make up products all of a sudden because everything feels so new and colours are so different too.

ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっOh, I forgot to add in that, I have to do them within 20 mins (my usual morning make up routine time frame excluding prepping of face), because I am rushing for my shows right after this. Which means I don't have the time to think much about how I want to do it. lol.

So I decided to use all Marc Jacobs make up products to complete my FOTD (face of the day).

Sorry if you decided to spot some powder here and there on the palette, because I took the picture only after I finished using them for my make up. How silly of me right. ( ◡́.◡̀)
I even attempted to clean it away, but I made it worse. HAHAHA! (─‿‿─)

 STYLE EYE-CON NO.3$59
PLUSH EYESHADOW (THE SHOE GAZER)
The style eyecon No.3 plush eyeshadow have this shimmery metallics effect especially the gold and blue color. The colours are great, and highly pigmented. I can clearly see the colour right after applying on my eyelids. 1 or 2 times application will do. After a whole day of stage performances, it doesn't fade away or crease much even though I perspired. However, I will prefer it to be slightly creamier instead of powdery so that it will look less crispy on my eyelids. This set of colours are definitely quite a challenge because of the blue. Instead of using it for the brow bone highlight, I decided to used it at the inner part of my eyelid nearest to the tears duct for a lighter and brighter look. The packaging is travel friendly and the design is super classy as well! (✿◠‿◠)

 SHAMELESS BLUSH$56
BOLD POWDER BLUSH (TANTALIZING)

The shameless bold blush really lives up to it's name. The colour I have received is way more darker, mysterious, sexy, loud and mature as compared to my regular light baby pink colour blush. It also has high colour pigments and it's creamy enough to create a nice looking texture on the cheek. With just one time application is enough, the colour is super obvious. It really save me a lot of time! I don't have to keep applying just to get the colour out on my rather pale cheek.

Just like their Style Eye-Con No.3 Eyeshadow, the packaging for Shameless bold blush is equally travel friendly and the design is super classy as well! (ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ ♥

Next up! Marc Jacobs' Lipgloss!

enamored$39
hi-shine lip lacquer (hey you)

I would say this is by far one of the best lipgloss because it's thick, smooth, moisturising and rich in color. Somehow it feels super comfortable on my lips. It is a really glossy and shiny gloss, in a non-sticky way. The color is also just right and pretty much flexible with a majority of make up looks. One application is good enough. Oh! Did I not mention that it also makes your lips look a little poutier (⊙.⊙(☉̃ₒ☉)⊙.⊙). I am sure it is not an illusion.

I am also using Sephora’s make up brushes which came with all the amazing beauty products!

The make up brushes I have with me are:

- PRO Angled contour (Blush Contouring #75)
-PRO shadow #14
- PRO Winged liner (Eyeliner) #37
- PRO Ultra-liquid foundation #83

I used Sephora's Pro Shadow #14 to apply the eye shadows and Sephora's Pro Angled contour (blush contouring) #75 for my cheeks!

The short synthetic hairs of the brushes feels really soft on my skin and it helps to blend in the make up really well. The hairs of the brushes are also densely packed and helps give a flawless finished look. Brushes are not heavy as well! I am sure you know how tiring it can get holding the brushes after a period of time. ;)

The above is a pictures of the brushes with the cap still on. I am pretty much sure that it is to protect the brush from wear and tear. It also helps to keep the brushes clean! It is very important to have clean brushes at all time so I am really thankful for these caps because now I can bring it out in my bag without worrying that the brushes might get damaged!

However, I do have to say that when I started opening up these brushes, they had plastic vacuum-sealed around each of the caps and it took me really long to peel them of. But on a second thought, actually it just means that the brushes are really well taken care of from any damaged. So good job Sephora!

Last but not least, the part that also surprised me is that the make up brushes are all engraved with my name! It makes me feel extra special and that these awesome brushes only belongs to me now. MUHAHAHA!
Thank you Sephora!

So after applying Marc Jacobs beauty products, here is the final look!

Bringing my make up out for work is no longer that inconvenient now because of make up products like Nudestix pencils which had everything in one "pencil case". Lip + cheek pencil crayon of 2 different colours (Whisper & Mystic), pencil sharpener and mirror on the case cover!

I probably can touch up my make up in the MRT as well with simple to use make up products like Nudestix.

And when I have time again, I want to try out Mirenesse's make up products!
Look at the unique colour they have for eyeliner crayon pencil, masacara and lip rouge! Their packaging & design is definitely attractive and catches my interest! I like how they attached the mini sharpener at the top of the eyeliner crayon pencil. So cute. HAHAHA!

Oh! And you see thisworks product in the picture below as well. It says, in transit muscle therapy.
I think I definitely need it because my whole body is literally aching like an old woman. LOL. By the way, it's roll on application, quite cool in my opinion because I have never use roll on before. HAHAHA! It's good because I don't need to get my hands all messed up with oily cream.

Last but not least, I believe prepping of face and looking after your face are very important to allow make up to better absorb and stay on your face. I am looking forward in trying out Alpha-H Liquid Gold and Balance Me Collagen Boost face cream soon.

I have read that Alpha-H Liquid Gold has natural ingredients in it which work like an overnight facial to revitalise tired, ageing skin, and radically improve the skin’s complexion. I usually don't have any time for a good facial mask session, so Alpha-H Liquid Gold will be a very good alternative for busy people like me.

Honestly speaking, I am still on the look out for suitable moisturising face cream after so many years of my life. lol. So, I am also going to try Balance Me Collagen Boost face cream once my old ones are done because apparently Balance Me face cream promotes natural collagen productions and many other benefits:

-Reduces fine lines
-Prevents signs of premature ageing
-Hydrates dry skin
-Soothes sensitive skin

I seldom hear moisturising face cream can promote natural collagen production. Sephora has definitely help introduced me to more beauty products which I didn't know of before. And I want to thank Sephora.sg for sending me so many awesome & interesting beauty products!

Do remember to check them out at their online store now!

Till then, talk to you guys again soon!

GP batteries Singapore's F Series Powerbank

Hello everyone!

It's been very long since I posted a blog post. I have just came back from Bangkok with lots of clothes and I hope you guys manage to watch my Bangkok Haul on my Youtube Channel! I will be doing a giveaway soon as promise!

During my Bangkok trip, I have been trying to look for a phone charger because my older charger that can charge up to 3 times, spoilt. :( I brought one back and was told I could charge up to 3 times. But in the end, I can only charge 1 time and 1 time is just not enough for people like me who uses the phone a lot. I need at least a charger that can charge up to 2 times.

Well, I am sure someone heard me. ;) So I recently received a 5000 mAh charger (FP05M, S$29) from GP batteries Singapore. :D Apparently, when I received it, it was already fully charged :D. Super happy and the best part is I can use it to charge my iPhone6s for 2 times!

(P.S: I also love my watermelon cover a lot! :P)

One of the thing I like about FP05M charger is that it automatically stops charging when your phone is fully charged and it has an over-temperature cut-off during power bank charging so that it won't overheat or something you know.

Here are some of the benefits found in GP batteries Singapore's FP05M charger:

Safer to use:
- Over-temperature cut-off during PowerBank recharging
- Complies with UN38.3 air transport safety standard

Faster than usual charge:
- Speedy recharging
- Fast charging- it charges my phone to full battery super fast

Smarter:
- Compatible with IOS and Android smartphones and many other USB devices
- It has intelligent power modulation which automatically switches between input voltage when travelling.
- Plano-concave dual front design for curved-back and flat-back devices

Longer battery life:
- Shields against over charging, over discharging, overheating and low temperature

More durable:
- Safeguard from malfunctions due to short circuit
-Loopback protection automatically cuts-off power when a cable is plugged into input/output simultaneously.

I love the classic design and texture of the charger and it's lighter in weight as compare to the other charger I had. The prices wise it's around ~SGD$30 depending on which models. I think the price is quite normal and pretty much worth the price as well since it has so many functions, durable and super portable to bring out.

The powerbanks are retailing at selected Best Denki, Challenger, Courts, Newstead and Popular outlets.

You may also want to consider taking part in GP batteries Singapore's Facebook & Instagram Contest! Contest date: start on 6 Nov to 30 Nov . All you need to do is to comment one feature (which can be found in this post) of Fast Track power bank which you think is the most important on GP's Facebook & Instagram!

Good luck!

xoxo- Evalee

A broken soul still capable of loving

My blog is dead. Totally ain't no mood to write anything since months ago.
I was pretty much tired of doing so many events & sponsors write up because I have to input so many informations that won't make the post any interesting for me to keep writing. To be honest, I wasn't paid, only with sponsored stuff which I won't be able to finish using them. I not the freebie goer kind of person. They end up just sitting in my house taking up space.

My interest for blogging is not writing stuff I don't enjoy writing.
So you see, I stopped going for events I am not interested in or not that interested in. And I strongly feel that client should be paying for efforts. Time is everything.

I am also going through a lot in life recently. These past few months was one of a kind experiences. I met many new people. I was overwhelmed and I was happy to some extend. There were unhappy moments as well because I decided to be honest and be myself.

These few months, I had struggles and I was trashed badly. I was pulled lower than I thought I would go. I felt totally insecure. My self esteem went down to almost nothing. I doubt myself. I wasn't as confident of myself anymore and I felt like I was to blame for all the unhappiness. The only reason is because, I lost myself for somebody else. I looked up to the wrong person, I trusted the wrong people.

I cried endless nights & days during quarrels and arguments. I felt like I am the bad guy. I am to be blamed. I asked myself to leave everything behind. I asked myself to forget everything that had happened. I asked myself to let myself off. Many times I knew I have to walk away. My heart and emotions took over. Everything went haywire over and over again. It's suffocating and I was drowning.

I gave everything I have, they were so important but were unappreciated.

I was so focus on gaining approval and making everyone else happy, I forgot about myself. I forgot to stand firm on my believes, my principle, even nearly my dignity.

It was devastating.
I love them and I want them to be happy but I forgot to really love myself.

I wasn't allow to tell anybody about anything, not even my family members. And so, I had "no one" to confine in. I had to confess, I had thoughts of suiciding to end the pain I am feeling.

Until now, I haven't really got over whatever that happened. It was just about a week ago, I started to really force myself to leave these toxin mess behind. After seeing what I least want to see, I had to believe that it was never right to begin with.

God gave me many red signals, telling me so many things through their actions and it was me who was blinded by my heart.
My instincts & my brain analysed and told me things but I refused to listen to it and ignored them. Some people we have to let go regardless of how much we want them in our life.

I am still fixing this broken young soul and heart. My career is not doing well either. I am just glad, to have people supporting me. At least, you guys are the reason I am still moving forward.

Social media doesn't show everything. At least for me, I didn't want to have a negative influence on people. I find that, there isn't a need for me to spread further negativity. The world needs more positivity... regardless how fake it could be.

The things I have learnt:
1) Truly love & believe in yourself a lot no matter what!
2) We cannot judge a book by its beautiful perfectly decorated cover.
3) Be fake to certain people, because they don't deserve the real you
4) Only let certain people into your life
5) They are not my main friends
6) Choose to be positive on the right things, otherwise it's native
7) Take things easier
8) Do not worry about anything!
9) Care less if not it's just being careless to your heart
10) Appreciate who I am and what I have now, it's definitely much better than if I don't.
11) Do not trust easily.
12) Keep my mouth shut!

Eventually,  I will be ok again. I will walk out fine.

Review: Bellezza Aesthetics

The last time I went for a facial treatment was about a year ago, to treat the outbreak of pimples on my face. It was a success and a good experience, but I definitely don't want to experience it again.

It was a period of hell, a period of low self-esteem because of how ugly I think I looked with those pimples on my face.  So thankfully, I'm offered a sponsorship that period of time to help fight these acnes.

Today, I am back with a review of another beauty salon known as Bellezza Aesthetics.

Bellezza Aesthetics is a place that provides beauty treatments for face, eyes and body.
According to what the beautician told me, they use a lot of high technology machines and equipments to help achieve better results.

It wasn't hard to find the place, it's just less than 5 minutes walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT.
It is really convenient for most working adults too as it is very near the CBD area.

Before the treatment, I was brought to this small little cosy room with a really beautiful diamond sofa. The calming ambience of the room and the attention to detail such as serving a glass of cold fruit punch and cold yogurt, had me a little surprise. It definitely helped kickstart a really good impression for a first visit to Bellezza Aesthetics.

Well, who doesn’t love receiving something extra right?

It was raining and with that injured right ankle, I really did used quite a bit of energy to make my way here. So I am really glad, I had the chance to get comfortable before the treatment. It's thoughtful of them to allow us some time to pace ourselves before proceeding on to the treatment.

The most unexpected part is that, warm towel was given as well just like what I had experienced when I am on an international flight or a well-known airline where service are top-notch. There was no rushing at all as I sat in the room taking my time to finish the drink and yogurt. I stayed in the room for quite a while and soon I started realising that maybe I'm taking a little too long so I decided to speed myself up. HAHAHA!

They have indeed succeeded in making me feel very comfortable and welcome.

Before deciding on the type of treatment for me, the beautician had a short conversation with me to better understand what treatment I need. It is really a short one like maybe a minute or two because I kind of know what I wanted.

I mentioned about the seriousness of my dark eye circles to the beautician, so I expected her to introduce some sort of a treatment solely for the eyes. Well she mentioned that they do have different treatments for problems like mine and I was really relieved to hear that as everyone else told me that there's no cure to dark circles.

Upon entering the treatment room, I was told that different rooms were given different names according to the theme of the room. It's really cool because the theme of my treatment room is Autumn and it's really beautiful.

I had to also mention that their aroma in their room smells really good and help me feel relaxed.

I love it when the beautician didn't come and disturb me as I took my own sweet time in the treatment room; changing to my gown and enjoying the beauty of the room alone.

I did the Skin resurfacing treatment that lasted for about an hour.

Here's a little about the treatment:
  • Mineral sea salt skin resurfacing is a non-invasive safe treatment to takes years off your complexion by gently exfoliating the outer layers of skin.
  • Immediate and visible results for lines and wrinkles, open pores, blackheads, pigmentation, blemish and acnes scars and stretch marks.
  • The gentle vacuum action gives the facial muscles a mini workout each time, providing an immediate lifting effect and an ongoing improvement in tone.
  • With regular treatments, achieving the desirable effects of smoother, fairer skin texture and a new glowing radiance to your skin.

The beauticians are skilful, friendly and attentive to my needs. My beautician is aware how much I didn't like extractions to be done on my face and she didn't force it on me. I am thankful because some beautician from other place will keep manipulating you and persuading you to do extraction even if you hate it to the max. I dislike extractions because I had bad experience several times and I am just really afraid of pain!

So my beautician only did a few extraction which pretty much feels okay for me. However she did advised the need for further extraction because I have a very prone-to-clogging skin. -WHYYY-

I enjoyed the face massage a lot and I wish I had my own personal face masseur at that moment. lol.
    Ohhh please don't stop!

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, the facial treatment had to come to an end too.

I was greeted with a pretty cup of warm tea and snacks back at the quiet cosy room after a long facial treatment.  This is exactly what I need to warm myself up!

As usual, I took my own sweet time in the room, enjoying myself and taking pictures.

My skin felt clean after the session. My face looks so much fairer and feels smoother too! Most importantly, my dark eye circles becomes lighter in color.

All details are well taken care of too; from the nice luxurious furnishings to the nice warm towels you get with your drinks and snacks before and after the treatment.

Bellezza Aesthetics, definitely provides one of the best service around town. My first experience with them during the facial treatment is a good one and I really enjoyed my time there. The beauticians are not pushy and will only recommend treatments if you enquire about them and if only they think it's suitable for your complexion. They don't rush you to get in the treatment room and out of their place as well.

Good service is one of the most important aspects when it comes to topic like skin treatments and health issues. So if you don't like pushy and overly sales oriented beauticians, you may want to head over to Bellezza Aesthetics to try them out.

Feel free to quote my name "EVALEE" to get your first trial (Award-winning Timeless Radiance Customized Facial worth $268) with them at only $18.

I have included their details below as well.
